Dananeer Mobeen
Actress and influencer
Dananeer Mobeen is an actress and influencer who became famous online before she worked on screen. She is from a Pashtun family in Peshawar. Before her fame she was a student running a fashion and make-up Instagram account with around 100,000 followers.
On 6 February 2021 she uploaded a short video whose catchphrase, “Pawri Horai Hai”, turned into a viral meme. Within the same year she made her acting debut in a supporting role in Sinf-e-Aahan, which won her the Lux Style Award for New Emerging Talent. She graduated from The Millennium Universal College in November 2024.
Leading roles came quickly: Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri (2023) and Meem Se Mohabbat (2024). In 2026 she is the title character in Hurmat, which is on air on this guide. It is her biggest test yet as a lead.
After the video, her following grew to about a million and acting offers started to arrive, she has said. That February the Pakistan Super League side Peshawar Zalmi named her a brand ambassador, alongside figures such as Mahira Khan and Esra Bilgiç. Her character in Sinf-e-Aahan was Syeda Sidra. In Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri she played Zobia, and between that and Meem Se Mohabbat she also led MD Productions' Very Filmy. In 2022 she voiced a character in the ISPR-backed animated series Team Muhafiz.
