The 20th Hindi season of Bigg Boss premiered on 6 September 2026, with Salman Khan back as host. It streams first on JioHotstar and airs later the same night on Colors TV, and for the first time is also available to viewers in the UK, Canada and Singapore. The premiere housemates included boxer MC Mary Kom, Aamrapali Dubey, Mahhi Vij, Arishfa Khan, Uditi Singh, Kushal Tanwar (Gullu), Qazi Touqeer, Yung DSA and others.
Bigg Boss 20, the milestone 20th Hindi season, premiered on Sunday 6 September 2026 with Salman Khan back as host. Like the previous season it is streaming-first: episodes go up on JioHotstar at 9:00 pm IST and are broadcast on Colors TV at 10:30 pm, and this season the show is available to viewers in the UK, Canada and Singapore for the first time. The Bigg Boss Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam editions launched the same day.
Sixteen housemates entered on the premiere night, an unusually mixed group: Olympic boxing medallist MC Mary Kom, Bhojpuri star Aamrapali Dubey, television actors Mahhi Vij and Kanika Mann, influencer Arishfa Khan, actress Uditi Singh, singer Qazi Ahmad Tauqeer, rapper Harsh Machare (Yung DSA), content creator Kushal Tanwar (Gullu), actor Aasif Khan, gamer Tanmay Singh (ScoutOP), Love Gill, Rohed Khan, Isha Rikhi, Rhiti Tiwari and Aman Gandhi.
By week 7 the house had changed shape. Aman Gandhi was evicted at the end of week 6 after two weeks with the fewest votes, and wildcard entrant Nakul Dhull was thrown out for breaking the rules after a fight with Gullu, which Salman Khan addressed on Weekend Ka Vaar. The week 7 nomination task asked housemates to stamp each other as ‘boring’ or ‘loser’; captain ScoutOP used his power to nominate Uditi Singh directly, and seven names ended up facing the public vote.
