Who we are

ShowBuzz is an independent entertainment guide covering Pakistani television dramas and shows, Indian films and the people who make them. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, why, and what choices you have. It applies to every page on ShowBuzz.

Information you give us

You do not need an account to read anything on ShowBuzz. The only form is on the contact page, and it does not send anything to us itself: it opens your own email app with a draft addressed to us, and you choose whether to send it. If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives standard technical information when a page is requested: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. This is used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and diagnose errors. Fonts are served from our own domain.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are read and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your device and browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google describes how it uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Cookies and advertising

ShowBuzz may show advertising served by Google AdSense to keep the guide free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to ShowBuzz and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the EEA and the UK, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

How we use information

• To deliver and secure the website.
• To understand which pages are read, so we can improve coverage.
• To fund the site through advertising, as described above.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Photographs and rights

Photographs of public figures are published only under a free licence, with the photographer, licence and source named under each picture. If you hold rights to an image and believe a credit is wrong, contact us and we will correct or remove it.

Your rights and changes

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you. Because ShowBuzz does not hold accounts, most requests can be handled by clearing your browser’s data. We will update this page if our practices change, and the date at the top will show the latest version.
