Sania Saeed

Actress and television host

Sania Saeed is a Karachi actress and host who has worked in theatre and television for more than three decades. Her father, Mansoor Saeed, was a playwright and a member of the theatre group Dastak, formed in 1982. She started young, in street theatre and as a voice-over artist.

Her first television appearance was a street play called Aurat, filmed for 8 March for the programme Aadhi Duniya in 1989. She was also the first announcer for Network Television Marketing's Karachi centre. Two serials made her a star: Haseena Moin's Aahat, directed by Sahira Kazmi, and Anwar Maqsood's Sitara Aur Mehrunissa, directed by Zark, in 1991 and 1992. Her awards include a PTV Award, four Hum Awards and four Lux Style Awards.

She has never really stopped working, and 2026 proves it. She is in two serials on air on this guide, Bombay Tailors and Dar-e-Nijaat, and in Aap Ki Izzat, which has recently ended.
