Work on ShowBuzz
- 3 Idiots
Film · 2009. Three engineering students, a cruel definition of success, and a missing friend. Rajkumar Hirani directs. It is loosely drawn from Chetan Bhagat’s Five Point Someone; the film and the novelist later fought in public about how loose that debt was. The film itself is still the one families rewatch.
- Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Film · 2015. A devout Hanuman bhakt tries to take a lost, speechless Pakistani girl home. Kabir Khan directs. It is Salman Khan’s film on this all-time list because the performance is in service of the child, not the other way around.
- Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham
Film · 2001. A rich Delhi family splits when the adopted son marries against his father’s wish. Karan Johar directs. It is melodrama at full volume, and it is the family film a huge diaspora audience still puts on.
- Jab We Met
Film · 2007. A quiet businessman and a talkative woman miss their trains and end up on the road to Punjab. Imtiaz Ali’s breakthrough romance. Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan lead. The songs are still played at weddings.
