Mannat refuses to let a rape inside a rich family be buried as gossip. Saba Qamar and Bilal Abbas Khan lead. It is a justice story, not a love story, and it was one of ARY’s sharpest 2019 serials.
It ran.
Content note: sexual violence is the subject. This page does not describe the assault.
The story
Cheekh is about a woman who is killed, and about the sister who will not let the death be filed as an accident or a family shame. The serial’s argument is that a respectable house will protect its son before it protects the dead woman.
Saba Qamar leads it. It aired on ARY Digital and is one of the few Pakistani serials of its period that stayed with a crime instead of turning the crime into a romance. ShowBuzz does not attach a writer credit here unless the channel credit is the one already stored on the record.
