Umera Ahmed’s novella about a young woman who has organised her life around being admired, and what is left when that collapses. Mahira Khan leads. Sarmad Khoosat directs.

The story
Falak is a beautiful, admired young woman who believes love is something she is owed. The serial, from Umera Ahmed, takes that certainty apart. It is a spiritual story, and it is also a story about a person who has never had to want anything twice.
Mahira Khan plays Falak. It aired on HUM in 2012, in the same stretch of her career as Humsafar, and it is the performance people cite when they want to show she was not only Khirad.
