Uswah is Geo’s 7 o’clock daily, and the search people run most is simply “Uswah drama cast”. So the cast comes first here: Saniya Shamshad plays Uswah, Omer Shahzad plays Essa and Haroon Shahid plays her cousin Mahabir, with Ammara Malik as Fariya and Junaid Akhtar as Zaid.
Hina Huma Nafees wrote it, Ali Akbar directed it and 7th Sky Entertainment produced it. It began on 23 September 2026 and has run every day since.
The premise, without spoilers
Uswah is clever, driven and short of money. She comes from a middle-class home and works part-time so she can keep paying her university fees. At home, a marriage to her cousin Mahabir is being arranged. On campus she crosses paths with Essa, who is wealthy and quickly becomes a rival rather than a friend.
The hook is a single moment that seems minor when it happens but leaves Uswah bound into a relationship she never chose, right as her wedding date is approaching. Everything since has been about the cost of that moment for her, for Essa and for the family expecting her to marry Mahabir.
