Haseeb Hassan

Drama and film director

Haseeb Hassan, also spelled Haseeb Hasan, is a Karachi-born director of television dramas and films. His work favours large family canvases and spiritual romance, and many of his dramas are remembered years after they aired.

His best-known serials include Bol Meri Machli, Ahista Ahista, Nanhi, Diyar-e-Dil (2015), Mann Mayal (2016) and Alif (2019). Diyar-e-Dil and Mann Mayal were both major Hum TV successes, and Alif, written by Umera Ahmed, follows a filmmaker and an actress whose lives are shaped by faith and calligraphy. In cinema he directed the air force drama Parwaaz Hai Junoon (2018). He also produced the web series Dhoop Ki Deewar, written by Umera Ahmed, which streams on Zee5.

Several of his projects have won awards. In 2026 he is back on air with Rutba, starring Mehwish Hayat, so his page on this guide links one current serial and two earlier ones: Diyar-e-Dil and Alif.
