The story
Alif is Umera Ahmed’s story about faith and the film business. A celebrated director has made a life out of images and has lost the reason he started. A young woman comes into that world carrying a family’s unfinished religious and artistic debt. The serial treats showing off and belief as the same argument, not as two separate genres.
Geo Entertainment premiered it on 5 October 2019. Haseeb Hassan directed. Epic Entertainment, then a new house from Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun Saeed, produced it. Hamza Ali Abbasi, Sajal Aly, Kubra Khan and Ahsan Khan lead. It is on the all-time list because viewers still use it as the example of a spiritual drama that is also about work.
