The story
Meerab is raised in a liberal Karachi house and finds out her life is tied to a feudal family she wants nothing to do with. Murtasim is the heir who has been told, all his life, that his word is the house. The marriage that joins them is not a meet-cute. It is a power struggle that turns into a long, uneven love story.
Nooran Makhdoom wrote it. Siraj-ul-Haque directed it for Geo Entertainment. Yumna Zaidi plays Meerab. Wahaj Ali plays Murtasim. It ran through 2022 and 2023 and became one of the most watched Pakistani serials on YouTube, which is why the names still sit at the top of search. Episode-by-episode plot points are not reprinted here.
